Carbon Admissions

We Don’t Know

What We Don’t Know.

Carbon Admissions campaign cover

What is Carbon Admissions?

Carbon Admissions is a campaign designed to inspire more open and honest conversations on the questions that still exist for businesses when it comes to reaching Net Zero. Our latest research, along with previous studies, reveals that knowledge gaps, scrutiny, fear of greenwashing, or simply not knowing the next step to take on the Net Zero journey are just some of the barriers holding back progress.

Net Zero is a complex endeavour and it’s okay not to have all the answers. By encouraging each other to admit what we don’t know, we can help widen access to shared knowledge and insights that will enable organisations to feel more empowered to take the next step on the pathway to a better future, and unlock commercial, environmental and societal benefits along the way.

Net Zero is a collective challenge and we believe we all have a responsibility to reach the UK target, and beyond, together.

Could our Pathway to Progress model help your organisation?

Crucially, when it comes to Net Zero, all progress is progress. But to know where you’re going, you must know where you’re starting from – that applies both organisationally and to our own personal knowledge. Asking questions is the first step to begin change and unlock progress.

Our Carbon Admissions: The Pathway to Progress model has been developed as a guide to help support organisations to have the right conversations that will set them up for success.

Focused on seven component areas, the model provides illustrative questions that can support your organisational  journey, regardless of whether you’re just starting out or ready to take your next step on Net Zero.

“Prior to working in the industry, I didn’t realise that carbon hangs around in our atmosphere for between 300 to 1,000 years.”

Ryan O’Neill, Chief Strategy Officer at Equity Energies
