Blackpool Football Club has announced Equity Energies – the Net Zero pathway consultancy – as the official sponsor for the upcoming 2024/25 season. The Training Centre will be renamed “The Equity Energies Training Centre”, and the Club’s first-team training kit will carry Equity Energies new logo.

Equity Energies is the new name for eEnergy Management, a change that follows its acquisition by Flogas Britain in February 2024.

As part of the multi-year deal, Equity Energies will continue to support the Club on its journey to Net Zero. Past projects include the installation of new LED lighting in the Club, and deployment of its MY ZeERO intelligent metering tool throughout Bloomfield Road. MY ZeERO provides appliance and circuit level insight into energy consumption, aiding energy efficiency and further improving the Club’s Net Zero pathway credentials.

Martin Booker, Commercial Manager at Blackpool FC commented:

“We are delighted to continue our long-term partnership – the Equity Energies brand will take pride of place on our training wear and training ground in readiness for the squad’s return at the end of the month.

“The continued commitment of the team at Equity Energies is helping the Club, and other organisations across the UK, to become more sustainable and to deliver daily progress in reaching Net Zero. We look forward to taking even greater steps forward together in the coming months and years.”

Blackpool Training Kit Changing Room

Toby Costar, Marketing Director at Equity Energies said:

“While we’re delighted to see our new brand feature in the upcoming season, our relationship with Blackpool FC is about more than a simple sponsorship. We’ve already made great strides together through practical steps like LED installation and the use of MY ZeERO, both of which have delivered cost savings and carbon reductions for the Club. Those savings mean more money can go back into the Club, its facilities, and the playing squad. This is the kind of positive, tangible impact on the journey towards Net Zero we always set out to achieve.

“Reaching Net Zero, and going beyond this, is a vital goal for organisations across the UK and around the world. Blackpool FC’s leadership in this area is laudable, and we’re committed to advancing on that journey, together.”
